HeartMind Energies: The Healing Techniques
I Draw upon a variety of forms of energy medicine. We will discuss your situation in detail to determine the most appropriate healing blend for you. Then again, sometimes one stand-alone method reveals itself as the key to your healing.
The following techniques are the forms of energy healing I find myself choosing most often when working with stress-related disorders.
Quantum-Touch®
Although Einstein informed us years ago that it's all energy, we tend to leave ourselves out of the equation. Nevertheless, each of us is a mass of constantly vibrating energy, just like everything else.
An important principle of Quantum-Touch is that when two similar vibrational fields come into contact - yep, that means you and me! - one of three things will happen. Either the field vibrating at a higher rate will match down to the lower rate; the lower rate will match up to the higher rate; or the two will meet somewhere in the middle.
As a Quantum-Touch practitioner, my role is this: By vastly increasing the amount of lifeforce flowing in my system, and thus vastly increasing my own vibratory rate, I make sure that there is only one choice: that your lifeforce field will match up to mine.
A basic tenet of Quantum-Touch is that all healing is essentially self-healing. Once your body has access to a full, free flow of energy, its self-healing capacity is restored and it takes care of the rest.
This high vibrational state is generated and maintained through my use of specific patterns of breath and awareness. Please note that my breathing is often much more audible than you would ordinarily experience when working with a healing practitioner. Through using the Quantum-Touch® patterns of breathing and awareness, virtually any other type of energy medicine becomes more powerful, and I normally use Quantum-Touch with every other healing tool at my disposal.

Jin Shin Jyutsu®
Jin Shin Jyutsu® releases the tensions that interfere with your natural capacity for self-healing through balancing your "safety energy locks" ("SELs"). SELs are areas of your body where energy tends to get stuck when there is an overload of some kind on the system. These areas lay along a series of energy pathways that feed life into all the cells. When one or more of these paths become blocked, the damming effect can lead to discomfort or pain.
Jin Shin Jyutsu reharmonizes and rebalances the energy flow throughout the body. Through placing my hands lightly on specific pairs of these SELs on your body, I act as a "jumper cable," reestablishing the connections which are already there and "jumpstarting" the flow of energy through your energy channels.
Once your energy is flowing freely, your entire system regains the capacity to rebalance itself and reestablish harmony in the body. One of my favorite uses for Jin Shin Jyutsu is in "jumpstarting" a system which has been shocked by chemotherapy and radiation.
One of the things I love most about Jin Shin Jyutsu is the array of "self-help" techniques it offers. As a matter of fact, what first impressed me about Jin Shin Jyutsu was the strength of the energy whooshing through me as I held my fingers in the suggested manner for one of the self-help flows. These self-help techniques are - altogether now! - Simple. Powerful. Effective! (My watchwords.)
Acupressure
Along each of the energy channels running through the body lie points which act as tiny gates controlling the flow of energy throughout the body.
These points are known by different names according to how they are stimulated. They are commonly known as "acupuncture" ponts when they are stimulated with needles and are known as "acupressure" points when they are stimulated with deep touch.
I like to use the term "acutouch," because during a Heartmind Energies session, I stimulate these points through an extremely light touch. It would be even more accurate to say that I stimulate them directly with energy.
For the purpose of toning down the hyperstress of someone with an autoimmune disorder, or whose system has been emotionally or physically shocked, I primarily use the methods set forth by clairvoyant healer Donna Eden in her book "Energy Medicine" and her numerous materials. An approach she uses to calm and strengthen the immune system though simple acupressure produces almost unbelievable results. I use it as the starting point in dealing with any severe, stress-related issue.
TAT®
When you are very clear that you are on "overload" and yet have no idea how to let go of your stress, TAT® is tailor-made for you! This system helps you to almost magically dissolve stressful memories and beliefs.
It is often classed as a form of "energy psychology" - I think because many psychotherapists make use of it, and that term makes it more palatable to their more conservative colleagues. However, that is really a misnomer.
In fact, TAT was developed by an acupuncturist, Tapas Fleming. (The acronym stands for "Tapas Acupressure Technique.") It is a simple and powerful system of energy healing whose focus is stressful thoughts and beliefs. While holding several specific points on the front and back of your head with your hands, you focus on a specific stressful memory or belief through a series of key statements. Through the TAT pose, the light of awareness is shone on the stressor.
Through focusing on your "charged" memory or belief while it is safely contained within the pose, it loses its charged quality and the sense of emotional pain often simply dissipates. Frequently, clarifying images or insights arise, or simply a sense of peace. More importantly, the stressful thought or belief shifts.
Stressful memories and beliefs lie at the root of so many stress-based illnesses and dysfunctions that I would recommend TAT as an all-around "good for what ails ya" technique. And of course, the reason I love it so is that it is: Simple. Powerful. Effective!
